Sr. Br. Freddie Anne Willing, Sr. Alison Chains, Sr. Lida Christ, Pst. Ava Cado, and Asp Calvin joined the Boston TDOR observance at the Jackson-Mann Community Center in Allston. They were there to greet and comfort attendees and support the transgender leaders who ran the memorial. Former Transgender Emergency Fund director Chastity Bowick lead the program, recognizing community leaders, and joining in in the reading of names of the 340 members of our global family we lost to violence in the past 12 months. Sr. Br. Freddie joined in the community speakout under the Rita Hester mural. The event concluded with a community meal.
