Point Nun Report: Life’s a Drag Let’s do Brunch 10/20/2024

On Sunday 20 October 2024, Srs Freddie and Rosetta met up early in the day and made their way in the OGS (“other green Subaru”) to Farmington Gardens in Farmington , Connecticut.

Once there, they were led to the bridal chambers—a bathroom suite where they had their own space to manifest. Once prepped and ready they jumped in to help, getting floral arrangements onto the tables and help setting up the DJ, who had an unfortunate car breakdown (tho rescued by one of the hostesses of the event).

After doing the lineup list and confirming the contestants for drag brunch, Rosetta “convinced” the current reigning Mr Connecticut Bear and Mr Connecticut Leather to join the Imperial Court members to sell raffle tickets, and they all quickly swept the room together with that effort.

After brunch was served—including a pancake station—opening remarks and an opportunity for a representative from the beneficiary of the event, The Connecticut Breast Health Initiative, to talk about their organization, the show kicked off.

Rosetta and Freddie kept the show moving along, pulling raffle prizes in between numbers, as well as getting the Mx Drag Brunch contest underway, and made record time for the enthusiastic audience.

Rosetta was honored with the “Mother Superior to Life’s A Drag, Let’s Do Brunch” award after 18 continuous years as MC.

Mx Drag Brunch was awarded to Nelly Paris, who did their first ever performance at the event. Three time Mx Drag Brunch title holder, Lucia Virginity, was inducted as a permanent judge for future Mx Drag Brunch contests.

Once the event was over, the sisters de-manifested and made their way back from the wilds of Farmington, CT to home turf. They later received the report that the event raised $3100 for the beneficiary—huzzah
