Lost-N-Found Youth, Inc. is Atlanta’s only non-profit agency actively working to take homeless LGBT youth off the streets. It is the outgrowth of Saint Lost and Found, an LGBT homeless youth fund project of the Atlanta Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Their services include the following:
- Answering phone calls, texts, and e-mails from LGBT homeless youth 24/7
- Meeting face-to-face to ensure these youths have a roof over their head, clothes on their backs, and food in their bodies
- Having the youths evaluated by a mental health professional
- Connect the youths to HIV/STD testing
- Referring the youth to health and dental services, if necessary
- Helping obtain lost or stolen birth certificates, driver’s licenses or state ID cards
- Connecting the youth to GED training/testing or other education resources
- Emergency and transitional housing
- Interview skills training
80% of their funding is obtained from individual donations, so please check out their web site and donate now to help these LGBT youth in need.
