On the afternoon of Saturday, March 29, Point Nun Sister Eunice was joined at The Convent by Sisters KrisTall Mighty and Sandra Musique, as well as Novice Sister Lida Christ, to meet with reporter Cerise Castle with VENT magazine, a local Boston publication that caters to college-age LGBT’s. We had a delightful hour of discussions around the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and specifically The Boston Sisters.
Afterwards, we were joined by Aspirant Decoda Apple and Saint Megga Pixel for communal facing. We struck out from The Convent around 5:20 PM and arrived at the Copley Square Marriott by quarter to 6:00 PM.
Following a quick stroll passed all of the silent auction items, we split into two groups to cover both the VIP section and the main area one floor above. And after the pleasurable hour of mingling and encouraging folks to spend, Spend, SPEND, we (somewhat forcefully) facilitated moving the joyful but not-so-willing to move patrons into the dining room. I think that next year perhaps the organizers might want to plan for more socializing time prior to the main seating!
We helped with the live auction, listened to the speakers and awardees, had our dinner break, and then helped with the big ASK. Special kudos to Lida for pushing hard to get out the word about our Men’s Event table!
Then after wishing all a good night at the top of the escalators, we retreated to The Convent for some pizza and sparkling conversation.
All in all we were well received and met many beautiful souls. And there was much rejoicing.
