Dear Sisters, Guards, and Supporters,
On Saturday, March 11, Point Nun Sister Eunice X was joined at The Convent for communal facing by Sister Kristall Mighty, Novice Sisters Heidi Sins, Grace A’Gawd, and Yonica Falico, Postulant Jen D’Fluid, and Aspirant Thomas. We departed and made our way to the Boston Copley Square Marriott for an on-time arrival at the Men’s Event, where we were soon met by Sisters Rosetta Stone, Lida Christ, Teresa Glass, and Shiny Bright, Guard Ian Knight, Novice Sisters Hellen Damnation and May Flowers, and Altered Girl volunteer Gina. This was by far our best Sister attendance at this fabulous event.
We spread out between the main floor and VIP reception to mingle and chat up the sweet patrons, enjoying recognizing long-time repeat and new attendees as well. We shared photo moments and directed people to the silent auction, balloon pop, and wine prize tables, until it was time to gently (but oh so firmly) escort the guests into the ballroom for the start of dinner and the evening’s program. Featured speakers included Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Gerry Studds award winner, surviving Hat Sister Tim O’Connor.
After assisting with the live auction and the direct donation request, we continued to encourage big bidding on the silent auction, and then we hit the dance floor to boogie down to the live disco band – YAY!!!!
Eventually, we took our traditional post at the top of the escalator to say goodnight to departing guests.
Overall we had a great time supporting one of our favorite organizations and we were made very welcome by everyone we met. And there was much rejoicing.
