Greetings Sisters & Supporters,
On Wednesday, June 13, Point Nun Sister Eunice X was joined at the Convent by Sister Lida Christ for communal facing up. We made our way to the Seaport in plenty of time to welcome the sea-goers onboard.
From the moment the ship pulled away from the dock, patrons began asking us if they could buy raffle tickets, most of whom already expected to hand us a $20. We couldn’t keep up and probably only covered a third of the patrons to raise $800 in cash. Everyone was in such a good mood, with the food and the music and dancing!
At the end of the cruise, we offered up half the pot for a 50/50 raffle, and the winners graciously donated back half of their prize. Another $20 came our way as we were wrapping up, and so $620 went to Fenway, and we went back to the Convent to de-manifest and relax over dinner with Sister KrisTall before dispersing.
And there was much rejoicing.
