On Sunday, March 29th the campus of Northeastern University experienced a swarm of Sisterly glitterbugs as the Boston Sisters arrived at the Curry Student Center for the 3rd Annual Condom Couture. In attendance were Sisters Sandra Musique, Rosetta Stone, Gloria LeLuia, KrisTall Mighty, Lida Christ, Eunice X, and Tori D’Affair, as well as Postulant Grace A’Gawd and Aspirant Devin.
Since its inception, the Sisters have been asked to act as MC’s and judges which we have loved doing and hope to be asked to do for a long time. As always, the entries this year were amazing creations. The Sisters opened the event by introducing themselves then started the first half of the runway walk. After much whitty banter and gross mispronouncing of names the Sisters introduced the staff who would be describing the game. The game was designed to teach the proper use of external condoms, internal condoms, and dental damns through a 3-person relay race. Sisters KrisTall and Tori were in charge of quality and determining if each teach had applied their prophylactic properly. After a winning team was declared, the Sisters sent the second half of contestants down the runway to great applause. Next was time for audience and Sister voting on the winners of the event. There was much excitement and fun. After the winners were chosen and appropriately admired the Sisters hung around for pictures and conversation before eventually going their separate (but equal) ways home.
