Greetings Sisters and Supporters,On Saturday, April 11, Point Nun Sister Eunice X was joined at The Convent for communal facing by Sister Sandra Musique, Novice Sister Angela Merci, and Aspirant Devin. We were out the door on time and easily made our 6:00 PM call time at the Copley Square Marriott Hotel. We split our attention between the main floor, featuring the silent auction tables and the balloon pop table, and the VIP area one floor below. The place was packed and the attendees (90% women) were very cheerful and a delight to engage with as we encouraged them to spend more and more money in support of Fenway Health.
At the appointed time we gently but firmly corralled the ladies and gents into the main dining room for the start of the program, kicked off with a speech by Mayor Marty Walsh. During the live auction, none other than Sister Eunice herself was the marker for the winner of the first item up for bidding. After the live auction we took a dinner break and then returned to the main hall for the speeches, the “ask”, and another great rocking performance by throw-back band Booty Vortex.
When all was said and done, we wished all goodnight as they headed down the escalators, made our way back to The Convent on very tired feet, and defaced for the evening.
And there was much rejoicing.
Much love and respect.
