On Saturday, May 17, Point Nun Sister Eunice X was joined by Novice Sisters Tori d’Affiar and Lida Christ for communal facing at The Convent. After some very fast facing, we made our way into the beautiful, warm and sunny spring afternoon. We strolled up Newbury Street and said hello to many admirers looking for photo ops. And we took in donations for our Grants Fund.
At Event 38, we found the early part of the evening a bit slow for attendees, so we hit the street in front of Arlington Church to add a bit more penny drive on their behalf. We also sold raffle tickets to the party people inside. In the end we raised $155 for them. And we had a great time dancing and chatting with people.
Afterwards, we did a sweet follow-up penny drive at Club Cafe, also for Joyful Noise. As NSr. Lida will report, we raised some very good cash for that account as well.
All in all we were well received, and there was much rejoicing.
