On February 10, 2014 Sisters Sandra Musique, Rosetta Stone, KrisTall Mighty, Ima Miracle, Brother Bimbo, Novice Sisters Lida Christ, Gloria LeLuia, and Tori d’Affair arrived from the four corners of the Boston metro area at Club Cafe for Drag Bingo with Constance Waverly. This month’s charity was Children’s Hospital, by way of two gentlemen who will be running the Boston Marathon on Children’s team. The guys brought 50 of their closest friends and the room was jumping. In the first hour we had broken the $1,000 mark! We also had a raffle for 3 amazing prizes (2 tickets to the Red Sox, 2 tickets to the Celtics, and 3 days in Fort Lauderdale). The raffle broke a record with over $1000 in raffle sales. By the time the night ended the grand total (less Square fees) was $2,637! This pushed our all-time Bingo grand total well over $28,000!
There was an amazing energy in the room, and everyone from Constance, to the Sisters, to the wait/bar staff worked their asses off. Hopefully we’ll see some of the first time bingo’ers come back.
