This evening, Saturday, 9 April, 2011, I was thrilled to have spent the evening with Sr. KrisTall, NSrs. Rosetta, Imogen, Ana, and Ophelia, Postulants Lois and Sandra, and Aspirant KlonDyke, all working hard at The Men’s Event, a gala benefit for the Fenway Community Health Center. 1400 patrons sipped, dined, and danced, and we Sisters were there to bring a touch of glitter to every cheek.
We manifested at the Convent in the afternoon, and by 5:00 PM made our way over to the Copley Square Marriott. We worked the crowd for 7 hours, and helped The Fenway to raise big $$ in support of their programs. By the end, a few Nuns had slipped out and over to The Alley Bar, where they ran a 50/50 raffle and sent $240 in proceeds on to the American Cancer Society (separate recap to follow).
