On Saturday, March 9, Sr.Eunice was joined at the Convent for communal facing by Sisters KrisTall Mighty, Rosetta Stone, and Sandra Music, and in addition by Novice Sister Rachael Equality and Postulant Penny Drive.
First and foremost, we all need to sit down and get makeup and snatch-taping tips from Rachael. Whewey! That Sister rocks from heel to wimple-tip!
Sister Bimea was incognito, but she did manage to bring forth to our Sister table a collection of flashing, polka-dotted helium balloons, which Postulant penny then set with style. Then Sisters Rosetta and KrisTall finished decorating our table for our twelve lovely guests. It was a fantastic job, as we provided little Chinese takeout boxes stuffed with toys and goodies, such as pez dispensers and candy, sun glasses and beads, and candy! We also provided “adult” Mad-Libs to pass the time during the slow parts of the evening (any time that food and drink was not on the table).
We all played hostesses in the VIP reception and then, per usual, ushered, cajoled, pushed, herded, and rammed all of the lovely patrons into the dining hall. After a dinner of our own with the other volunteers, we spent the rest of the evening encouraging folks to spend, Spend, SPEND money on select auction items, balloon pops for prizes, and all sorts of fun. At the end of the evening, Sisters Sandra and Eunice stayed to the end and wished everyone a safe and happy evening as they made their way to the down escalator.
And there was much rejoicing!
