Dearest Sisters, Guards and Supporters.
On Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 3:30pm, Sister Hellen Damnation was joined by Sisters Rosetta Stone, Amanda Tyanwhip, Shiny Brite, Teresa Glass, and Angie O’Plasty, along with Guard Ian Knight at the historic pilgrim monument in PTown to celebrate the 38th Annual GLAD Summer Party honoring citizen comedian Kate Clinton.
We took on various roles from greeters, registration line entertainment, balloon pop participants, and auction spotters. In addition, Srs. Shiny, Angie, and Hellen served as Auction models during the live auction.
The party was a resounding success—GLAD’s largest to date—with 800 attendees (a 33.3% gain over last year). The organizers, MC (Varla Jean Merman) and honoree all took time in person and on the microphone to thank the Sisters
for our participation.
GLAD’s Chris Rainville, Manager of Corporate Partnerships and Events texted after the fact: “Thank you and the sisters so much for everything today! We are eternally grateful. The sisters are a trademark of this event and it wouldn’t be the same without you.”
Following the event we took to the street for our annual bucket drive for Soup Kitchen in Provincetown, during which we raised $877.00—including a generous donation by Mate.
